Music, Jewelry, Art – You’re Invited to Join the Fun This Weekend in Downtown Redwood City

This weekend, you’re invited to enjoy music, jewelry, and art with your friends and neighbors, in Downtown Redwood City.

TONIGHT (July 8): Music on the Square (featuring Aja Vu, a tribute to Steely Dan) includes the fabulous Jewelry on the Square, which showcases the best in original handcrafted jewelry. It’s happening at our community’s living room – Courthouse Square in beautiful Downtown Redwood City.  Come for the jewelry (5 – 8:30 pm) and stay for the music (6 – 8 pm)! Other Friday night concerts include the renowned Art on the Square – here’s the Art on the Square 2011 schedule:

•           Jewelry on the Square Friday July 8, 5 – 8:30pm with Steely Dan tribute band, Aja Vu
•           Friday July 22, 5 – 8:30pm with Earl Thomas & The Blues Ambassadors
•           Saturday July 23, noon – 8pm with the PAL Blues Festival
•           Friday Aug 26, 5 – 8:30pm with Springsteen tribute band, The Rising
•           Friday Sept 23, 5 – 8:30pm with Salsa band, Mazacote
•           Saturday Sept 24, noon – 8pm with the Redwood City Salsa Festival

TOMORROW (July 9): enjoy July’s Second Saturday Art Walk, 6 pm. It’s a multicultural, socially responsible, and eco-friendly event that brings a fabulous array of art to the community. Fair trade crafts are being promoted at nine locations in Redwood City, compiling over 75 local artists bringing inspiration, culture, and entertainment this spring and summer to the entire Peninsula.

Second Saturday Art Walk in Redwood City takes place every second Saturday of the month from May through September, starting at 6pm.

Bring the family for an Art Walk – wander from gallery to gallery, take in the art and culture, and enjoy dining and entertainment options in Downtown Redwood City!
