The PAL Blues, Arts & Bar-B-Que Festival

The PAL Blues, Arts & Bar-B-Que Festival presented by the San Mateo Credit Union brings the best of the blues to Courthouse Square in Downtown Redwood City on July 22nd & 23rd. This free event features blues musicians from the Bay Area and beyond including Johnny Rawls, Alabama Mike, Mark Hummel, Rusty Zinn, Ron Hacker and many more. Plus, the unique artist booths of Art on the Square will fill the square with art on Friday evening, and all day on Saturday. The festival offers wonderful music, a family area with an arcade for children, delicious food, and showcases Redwood City’s Courthouse Square, along with Redwood City’s downtown merchants and restaurants.

For its sixth year, the Festival introduces a Bar-B-Que Cook-off Competition, where amateur and professional chefs will compete for fun, plaques, and BBQ Glory. The Redwood City PAL Blues, Arts and Bar-B-Que Festival is a perfect way to enjoy a beautiful summer day basking in Redwood City’s glorious weather, while savoring great Blues Music, Art, Bar-B-Que and drink!

Proceeds from this fun and exciting family festival will directly benefit the important programs of the Redwood City Police Activities League (PAL). The PAL offers prevention and intervention programs to the youth of the community including programs such as the citywide sports programs and after school programs.
