“Red Cross Ready” Disaster Preparedness Class – Free, 8/17, Shores Library, 6:30 – 7:30

There will be a “Red Cross Ready” guide to disaster preparedness workshop on Wednesday, August 17, from 6:30  – 7:30 pm at the Redwood Shores Branch Library, 399 Marine Parkway. This is a great, easy, and quick way for you to get the basics of disaster preparation for you and your family. It’s free.

From their flyer:
“Are you prepared for the next major disaster? Learn techniques to become Red Cross Read and to improve personal preparedness. By attending this one-hour course, you will learn how to set up a communication plan after a disaster, important items for a disaster kit, and what to do during an earthquake or fire. This course will leave you with emergency contact cards for each member of your family, a Be Red Cross Ready booklet, and earthquake preparedness information.
