Many of you know that Redwood City partners with environmental non-profit group Acterra (www.acterra.org) to provide their great Green@Home house calls – free home energy reviews that give homeowners easy tools to save energy and money in their houses.
The program depends on volunteers to do the house calls – and I want to let you know about this wonderful opportunity to be part of the Green@Home! It’s just two short training sessions to give you the info to be a Green@Home volunteer, and then be ready to make scheduled house calls in Redwood City.
Please read below, and I hope you’ll consider attending these two training sessions and becoming a Green@Home volunteer for your community. The immediately upcoming trainings (you must do both days) are in Palo Alto – not too far from us, so think about going!
Energy Specialist Volunteers meet with residents in their homes to install basic energy and water saving devices and create home energy conservation plans. Each HouseCall is performed by 2 volunteers and takes 2.5 hours.
The next training will be:
Two Wednesdays, October 5 AND 12, 5:30 – 9:30 p.m., in Palo Alto
