Good morning – have you heard about the Poker Run Motorcycle Ride Fundraiser? This year marks the 8th annual event, to benefit youth in San Mateo County, including Redwood City PAL.
If you’ve got a motorcycle (or have a friend with one!), this is the perfect chance to enjoy a fun, exciting, and meaningful fundraiser. Please read on and see if this is something you’re ready to do!
8th Annual Redwood City Poker Run!
It’s a great fundraiser benefitting the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Activities League, Redwood City Police Activities League, and After School Sports. Combined, these organizations serve thousands of children each year with after school program opportunities, athletics, educational programs, civic and cultural activities, and more.
This year’s Poker Run will be held on Saturday, May 12th, 2012 starting at Dudley Perkins (333 Corey Way, South San Francisco.) Registration begins at 8:00 am, with the ride starting at 10:00 am. This is a great opportunity for motorcycle riders to ride along with police motorcycle officers through the scenic coast of San Mateo County. Our ride ends at Sparky’s Hot Rod Garage (975 Industrial Suite B, San Carlos) at 1:30pm with a BBQ, raffle and live music. Last year’s event was a huge success, attracting over 275 motorcycles and raising over $40,000 dollars to support the Youth of San Mateo County.
