“Celebrating Our Past, Shaping Our Future”
Coordinated byRedwood City Together

Please join Redwood City Together for a fun-filled, festive event on Sunday May 20, in celebration of our diverse Redwood City and North Fair Oaks communities! This free event offers an opportunity to share in the varied backgrounds of Redwood City’s community members, see how human connections can be built through the arts, share life experiences of immigrants, immigrant youth, and long-time residents in our community, and help build stronger intergenerational connections.

Enjoy live music and dance, children’s arts and crafts from around the world, photo exhibits expressing the incredible array of backgrounds of our community members, video stories, and more. Activities take place on Courthouse Square as well as inside the San Mateo County History Museum – under the beautiful rotunda, in historic Courtroom A, and throughout the rest of this jewel of Downtown Redwood City.

Courthouse Square and the San Mateo County History Museum
    2200 Broadway, Redwood City

It’s a great family-friendly event, sponsored by the San Mateo County History Museum, The City of Redwood City, Silicon Valley Community Foundation, The San Francisco Foundation, Redwood City Civic Cultural Commission, and Redwood City International. The event is coordinated by Redwood City Together,” a collaboration of caring community members and organizations, including Redwood City, working to build a stronger, inclusive, and welcoming community.

The key principle of Redwood City Together is that  people from all backgrounds want the same thing: safe streets for our children, neighbors who look out for each other and a thriving community where we can prosper together. As our community continues to grow and change, Redwood City Together believes we’re most successful when we appreciate our shared values and build on the strength of our diversity. The group is coordinated by Redwood City 2020, a collaborative of key public and private organizations in our community working to ensure the health and success of all children, youth and families served by the Redwood City School District. Together, the partners of RWC 2020 identify barriers and then implement collaborative approaches that will open the doors to success.
