Many of you have visited the wonderful San Mateo County History Museum downtown, and enjoyed the many beautiful and informative displays and exhibits, which help bring our region’s history to life. Brought to you by the San Mateo County Historical Association, this is a true gem in our community, and I want to let you know of an opportunity for you to be involved in supporting its programs. San Mateo County Historical Association’s
History Makers 2012 Dinner

You’re invited to the San Mateo County Historical Association’s History Makers 2012 Dinner, to both honor a local legend and help support the Association’s programs.

This year we will be honoring baseball legend Willie Mays who has been a resident of the Peninsula since 1969. We honor Willie Mays for his activities as a concerned citizen of San Mateo County with charitable interests across our country. Master of Ceremonies for the evening will be San Francisco Giants baseball announcer Jon Miller.

The History Makers Dinner is a benefit for the San Mateo County Historical Association, and is an annual event that recognizes an individual and/or a family who has made significant contributions to California history and beyond.

6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

The event will include a cocktail reception, dinner, film presentation and Live Auction. Live Auction and Fund-a- Need to support education and public programs of the San Mateo County Historical Association.
Tickets ~ $175
This is also an opportunity to become more involved, as a History Makers Sponsor. There are many levels available, from “Museum Master” and “Grand Historian,” to “Historian,” “Benefactor,” and “Friend.”
