Zoppé – An Italian Family Circus
Starts today, Friday October 12!
It’s back! Redwood City and peninsula favorite Zoppé brings old world circus charm right to our Downtown, for the entire family to enjoy. A joy for young or old, this circus will bring a smile and a laugh, thrills (and spills!), animals, clowns, acrobats, and more.
This is the remarkable 7th generation of theZoppé family to bring the circus to communities around the world, and Redwood City (where the youngest Zoppé was born “on the road” three years ago!) is one of the circus’ favorite stops.

This Saturday, October 13 is the 2nd Annual OktobeRun Half Marathon & 5K Run/Walk, benefit for the Redwood City Education Foundation!
Last year’s inaugural race was one of the first half marathons on the Peninsula in years. The half marathon course is flat, scenic, and mostly off-road, perfect for a personal record. Beginning at historic Courthouse Square in downtown Redwood City, runners travel off road and join the Bay Trail by the Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge to Redwood Shores and back. The 5K course follows the first part of the longer course and is mostly on city streets.
Weather is likely to be perfect for runners, with moderate and comfortable temperatures.
After the race, runners and their families can stay for a full day of food, drink, and live entertainment at the Peninsula Oktoberfest celebration at Courthouse Square!
All proceeds from the race and festival will go to the Redwood City Education Foundation. The RCEF has been working since 1983 to advance and enrich educational opportunities for the 9,200 students of the Redwood City School District.
Make a donation today! Although the deadline has passed for Family Sponsors to get their names on the T-shirts, we welcome donations of any amount to support our local schools. All donations in excess of the registration fee are tax deductible.
