Coffee with the Cops, & Friends of the Library Book Sale

Hi, here are two items for you, that I think you’ll find of interest. One is a reminder about Monday’s 2nd “Coffee with the Cops’ and the others about the Friends of the Redwood City Library’s great Halloween book sales!

Coffee with the Cops

Last week’s “Coffee with the Cops” was a great success, with lots of people dropping in to the Summit Coffee Shop to chat with officers about neighborhood issues, traffic concerns, crime prevention, all of the PD’s great social media and other technological tools, and how to best access information and assistance.

The second “Coffee with the Cops” is scheduled for Monday, October 29 from 8 – 9:30 am at Breakers Café in Woodside Plaza.

    Monday, October 29th – 8 to 9:30 am
  • Back Yard Coffee Company, 965 Brewster Avenue

    Thursday, November 8th – 8 to 9:30 am
  • Bagel Street Café, 254 Redwood Shores Parkway (in Market Place Shopping Center,      Redwood Shores)
    Wednesday, November 14th – 8 to 9:30 am
  • Peet’s Coffee, 2600 Broadway
    Saturday, November 17th – 12:30 to 2 pm

    Tuesday, November 20th, 5:30 to 7 pm

Friends of the Redwood City Public Library

Here is an update from the Friends of the Redwood City Public Library -their annual Halloween Feature is happening now in the bookstore at the Downtown Library. There are loads of scary reads for sale along with fun children’s books. This sale is very popular so visit the Bookstore asap!

Additionally, both of their sale carts contain a crazy mix of books ranging from 50 cents to $2. You’ll be amazed at the deals to be had – poetry, memoirs, how-to, history, cook books, young adult and other books covering a wide range of topics. Visit the Friends of the Library bookstore, and start thinking about holiday gifts…

Don’t forget, the Friends also have a booth at the Kiwanis Farmer’s Market Downtown every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to Noon through the end of November.
