Saturday Events – Kids Music @ Shores; Hike @ Edgewood Park

Here is information about two events this Saturday – you may be interested in one…or both!
One is a great, fun performance for kids, at the Redwood Shores Library, featuring Cotton Candy Express. The other is a nice morning hike at Edgewood County Park, hosted by Friends of Edgewood. Please read below for details to help you make this tough choice!

Not only the kids love our show, but parents connect to the contemporary electronic musical sounds and our dynamic stage presence. Our performances are inclusive of children and adults from the audience participating on songs with cool props, special microphones, pom poms, wild wigs, silly noses, and whatever else we can create that’s fun for our show. Late Fall/Early Winter: Berries, Birds and Beyond December 15, 2012, 10 am

Autumn’s seed and fruit crop provide food for many kinds of animals, helping support the whole food web through fall and winter.  Join Friends of Edgewood docent Trevlyn Williams one a three to four mile hike to explore Edgewood’s fall and winter bounty. Note: heavy rain cancels.

When December 15, 2012, 10 am Walk begins at 10 am and ends around 1 pm.

Where to meet Walks start from the Education Center at Edgewood Park 6 Old Stage Coach Rd, Redwood City, CA 94062 Just off Edgewood Road, 1 mile east of I280. The parking lot can fill up early. Use extreme care when parking along Edgewood Road.

What to bring Bring water, a hat, sturdy shoes, sunscreen, and a snack if you wish. We don’t stop for lunch, but picnic tables are usually available after the walks in the Old Stage Day Camp area.

Restrooms Restrooms and water are available only at the Education Center and in the Old Stage Day Camp.
