Young Dreamer Network (YDN) exists to empower teens to become difference makers in their communities. They are identifying challenges within their community and are addressing these challenges through strategic actions. In San Mateo County, our program entails leadership development, service-learning, international volunteer trips and after-school workshops at local high schools. In our international locations, YDN includes the aforementioned components along with academic scholarships for promising youth to attend quality high schools. These are youth who live where school is a privilege not a right, and their parents are unable to pay for them to attend secondary school.

Sierra Club invites you to a special presentation on

“Our Local Elusive California Grey Fox

Monday March 4 – 6:30 pm
Redwood City Public Library
1044 Middlefield Road (2 blocks from the Train Station)

Have you seen a fox when you are out hiking?

Over 140 species of bird, 39 species of butterfly and many wild creatures still live among us and rely on our Valley’s natural landscape for their food, water, and shelter.

One of the more elusive inhabitants of the Valley is the California Gray Fox. Bill Leikam, local Grey Fox Expert, will share photos and stories of the Gray Fox, as part of his work with the Urban Wildlife Research Project.

Learn how you can make a difference in protecting these beautiful creatures. Find out what we can do to protect other fox populations as well.

As part of the program, you’ll find out about upcoming Walk and Talks led by Bill at the Don Edwards Refuge in the coming weeks.

We’ll enjoy a light meal and have a brief social session starting at 6:30 pm, with the formal program beginning about 7 pm, wrapping up the evening about 8:30 pm.

Admission is free but RSVP via at

Donations at the door are gratefully accepted to help us defray costs.
