Good morning – here is an opportunity for you to let the City’s Parks Department know your thoughts on adult fitness and health – please read below about a survey that they’re doing right now, then click on the link to participate. Those who fill out the survey are eligible for a $250 cash prize! Be sure to fill out the online survey by March 31.
Redwood City’s Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCS) champions the “fitness and health” mission for the entire community. PRCS will add an array of educational resources to its current program offering in support of healthy lifestyle habits for Redwood City residents, and employees of companies in the City.
To help guide this initiative, PRCS wants to learn more about the interests and priorities of the adult community regarding fitness and health.
We invite you to respond to a survey on this topic. Respondents will be entered in a drawing for a $250 cash prize to be awarded in the first quarter of 2013. Please click on the following link to complete the survey:
While we collect this data on community interests and priorities, PRCS is actively recruiting “Health Alliance Partners” to enrich our resource base. For example,
- Medical care providers will supply expert opinions on a range of topics like “the benefits of physical activity for sustaining mental acuity in later years.”
- Independent suppliers of health and wellness services will contribute recommendations for developing healthy fitness routines.
- Nutrition specialists will add insights for maintaining healthy dietary habits.
“We plan to analyze the data in order to learn more about PRCS customer needs and design new recreational programming in response to community priorities,” said Chris Beth, Director of Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Service Department. “The community’s input is very important to how we continue to develop and implement resources that will fully support health, fitness, and quality of life in Redwood City – so all adults are encouraged to go online and fill out this survey.”
Once the survey is complete, the findings will be summarized and made available to the public on the Parks website.
We thank you in advance for taking the time to complete our survey and helping to create a healthy lifestyle for our community!
