Youth Talent Show

Join the 22nd Annual Youth Talent Show at Redwood City’s Downtown Library!


Here’s a great opportunity for kids to show off their hidden (or not-so-hidden!) talents! The Redwood City Public Library is sponsoring a talent show for youth.


Kids can audition and perform, and everyone else is invited to see the big show!


Kids up to 12 years old can drop by the Downtown Library for auditions:

  •  Saturday, April 13, noon – 3 pm
  •  Tuesday, April 16, 5 – 7 pm

Then, the big show is Wednesday, April 17 at 7 pm in the Community Room! Everyone is invited!  


All acts must audition. Acts can be solo, duo or group, but each act is limited to 3 minutes. For more information about the Talent Show contact Jacky Averill at 780-7016 or


Musical Act Bettman and Halpin Live at the Downtown Library

The nationally touring, award winning acoustic duo Bettman & Halpin will be appearing in concert at Redwood City Public Library!
Stephanie Bettman is accomplished songwriter, with a gift for unforgettably moving lyrics. As a vocalist, she has drawn comparisons to such legendary singers as Emmylou Harris and Joan Baez. Meanwhile, her award winning fiddling, combines elements of bluegrass and jazz, with influences from such masters as Stephan Grappelli, Byron Berline and Johnny Gimble.
Luke Halpin is a renowned multi-instrumentalist (drawing inspiration from the likes of Sam Bush, Mark O’Connor and Tony Rice).  He is equally adept on Mandolin, Fiddle, and Guitar, as well as being dynamic vocalist and harmony singer.  Halpin has opened for Merle Haggard, Lone Star and The Steve Miller Band among others.
As a duo, Bettman & Halpin are fast earning a reputation in folk and bluegrass circles for hypnotizing performances filled with irresistible lyrics, transcendent harmonies and roof-raising instrumentals.

Did    you know that Cinderella has a long lost twin brother named Bob living   in the same kingdom with his own wicked step family? The separated   siblings have enlisted the services of the Fairy Godmother, the   Godfather (he ain’t no fairy!) and two enchanted gerbils to help wile   their way into the exclusive royal festivities of Wychwood-under-Ooze.   Bob has his sights set on Prince Percy’s all-kingdom baseball game,   while Cinderella eyes the birthday gala for Princess Petunia. When the   two strangers disappear at midnight after Cinderella hits a game winning   homerun, the search is on to find the feet that fit the glass slipper   and the muddy cleat! Tickets at
