2013 Season of County Parks’ “Take A Hike” Starts April 6!

Take A Hike begins the 2013 season with a special event at Flood Park in Menlo Park on Saturday, April 6 at 9 a.m.
Take A Hike is championed by San Mateo County Supervisor Carole Groom and fellow board members who encourage you to discover San Mateo County Parks as resources for exercise and environment awareness.
This year’s kick-off event will offer information about the activities you can enjoy in San Mateo County Parks in addition to hiking. Join us for a short hike and to pick up your Take A Hike t-shirt.  Children are invited to learn basic map reading while participating in a scavenger hunt.

The San Mateo County Law Library Presents:

Free Noontime Lecture on Student Debt

 

  • Thursday, April 11, 2013 – Noon San Mateo County Law Library, 710 Hamilton Street

The average college graduate has over $25,000.00 in student loan debt.  The responsibility and burden of paying this debt can seem overwhelming as the college graduate moves from student to (hopefully) worker.

 

The public is invited to attend this free lecture at the Law Library, presented by Attorney Jonathan Larsen. He’ll discuss ways to deal with student debt, including what legal steps may be taken to reduce or eliminate the debt all together.
